Originally a military fortress, Cap Rocat has been carefully restored and converted into a luxury hotel, with a wonderful view over the Mediterranean Sea and the Majorcan countryside.
Hotel Cap Rocat is located in a quiet area of Palma Bay, near Cala Blava. It features an outdoor pool, a sun terrace and direct access to the sea.
Cap Rocat hosts several tennis courts and a fitness center with personal trainers. You are also invited to participate in yoga and pilates outdoors.
The spectacular infinity swimming pool with salt water is located on one of the walls of the former fortress. The water blends in with the sea and the sky, on a spectacular spot, with views over the whole bay of Palma.
The rooms are equipped with private balcony, air conditioning and minibar. They come with a bathrobe, slippers and a CD / DVD.
The restaurant at Cap Rocat offers Mediterranean cuisine freshly prepared. Offering free Wi-Fi, the hotel also offers spacious lounges and patios.
For safety reasons, due to the unique architecture of the fortress, Cap Rocat can not accommodate children under the age of 15 years.
The Spa has been carved on the depths of the fortress, it is located where the former deposit of water was. The focal point is a dramatic saltwater swimming pool, sunk 12m below ground level – yet wonderfully bright. A wide conservatory-style glass ceiling will allow the brilliant Mallorcan sunshine to flood the space by day, while by night, the clear star-filled skies will create a mesmerizing place to swim. The vast exposed limestone walls add a touch of drama to the experience. Opening May 1st.

Hidden in the rock, on the edge of the cape’s cliffs where Cap Rocat was built. His Opinion: Außergewöhnliches Objekt, dass eine tiefe Ruhe ausstrahlt. Der militärische Charakter der Anlage ist - sicher auch aufgrund der Auflagen des Denkmalschutzes - erhalten worden. Es ist jedoch mit Feingefühl soviel Grün ergänzt worden, dass das Auge sich bei jedem Blilck wohlfühlt. Die Inneneinrichtung und die Zahl und Größe der zur Verfügung stehenden Räume ist grandios, dass auch bei schlechtem Wetter ein Verweilen mit z.B. Literatur Freude macht. Und Applaus dem Architekten, der sich getraut hat, einen der inneren Burggräben oder schmalen Höfe mit Glas zu überdachen und darin ein warmes Schwimmbad als Teil des Spas einzurichten.
Hervorzuheben ist bei der kompletten Entmilitarisierung des Objektes, dass auch keine Schlachten am Buffet geschlagen werden, da es solche kulinarisch und kulturell oft grausamen Veranstaltungen nicht gibt. Ein perfekter Hausservice bereitet Frühstück, Lunch oder Dinner wann und wo man will, wenn man nicht in der Bar oder in einer der beiden Restaurants essen möchte. Das Top-Restaurant La Fortaleza ist herauszuheben mit einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für hervorragende Küche.
Das meist junge Team ist international, serviceorientiert und ausgesprochen freundlich.
Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Ort zum Auftanken.

His Opinion: Cap Rocat is a very special place due to the fact that it's an old fortress and nicely located at the sea. The service was good in general - could have been more attentive / faster at times.
It would have been nice to have more sea access/visibility though, eg of the common spaces only the lunch restaurant (Sea Club) and the pool have a sea view.
Unfortunately, only one restaurant with set menus (no a la carte) was available for dinner (or roomservice with a limited menu and at an extra charge or tapas at the bar). Breakfast is generally served in the room - again, it would have been nice to 1) have some (sea) view and 2) not sit next-door with the neighbours.
The "suites" were not too large and a bit dark for a stay in April (the "cellar feeling" might be more appreciated during hot summer months). Also given the vast extent of the entire property, the suites felt on top of each other.
Also, we had hoped to find some nice trails to enjoy the views given the huge property.

His Opinion: We love this hotel. It is one of the most beautiful hotels we know. The outside terraces are wonderful and so private.
On a more critical note, I think you need to include proper muesli at breakfast. I asked for muesli but it was granola with sugar in. I like Swiss style sugar free muesli

His Opinion: It was the best vacation experience that we've had. Hated to leave and looking forward to returning. The only thing that I'd change is the time of year so the ocean would be warm enough to swim in -- still too chilly in May. Maybe next time, we'll visit in September.

Dans un espace naturel préservé, le fort a été aménagé avec beaucoup de gout.
La chambre Sentinel que nous occupions avait une terrasse avec piscine, le tout plongeant directement dans une mer changeante en fonction du ciel et du vent.
Le SPA avec son hammam et sa salle de repos, est extraordinaire de par sa beauté et son volume.
Les salons avec des cheminées toujours dressées adroitement sont confortables et chaleureux.
Le service est parfait, discret et efficace.
Le petit déjeuner est succulent avec un choix énorme.
Le restaurant propose des "dîners" gastronomiques" mettant en valeur les productions de l'île.

His Opinion: It was our fist stay at the hotel and we found it to be one of the best hotels to stay in for a relaxing time, to get away from everything and relax. We had a wonderful time and will be returning to say hear again.
The staff are helpful and cheerful but dont intrude, an excellent balance they carry of to perfection.

His Opinion: Cap Rocat was a home run! One of the 5 nicest hotels I have stayed in my lifetime. The rooms are good size and the staff is attentive to every request of the guests. The food is exceptional at Sea Club and the breakfast plentiful and delicious. I very much appreciated the ability to eat on our terrace every morning with our complimentary breakfast. The hotel built from a fortress makes the hotel unique. The spa was beautiful and again the services above and beyond. The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the warm feeling that my wife and I had during our stay make Cap Rocat a definite return visit for us. In addition, I look forward to telling all of our friends from NYC about this diamond in Mallorca. I look forward to returning.

His Opinion: We we’re treated like royalty from the moment we entered through the gates and in such a subtle and respectful way.
Our accommodation was superb and Clara’s and comfortable. The smell was incredible when the door was opened.
We ate mainly at the Sea Club and again the staff were courteous and welcoming - food was excellent too.
Aperitifs, digestifs & cocktails were served by a very talented young chap in delightful surroundings of the heart of the fort.
The facilities were amazing. The privacy sublime. Cannot wait to return.

His Opinion: We had an amazing time at Cap Rocat. The only downside was the temperature in the rooms. We had two rooms reserved and both were extremely warm. We call guest services and they did send someone over to look into the thermostat on both rooms, but it was still extremely warm.

His Opinion: Das Glück war vollkommen! In jeder Hinsicht überragend!Das Personal von unaufdringlicher Freundlichkeit;Die Einrichtung: Hochwertigste Materialien, geschmackvoll, ästhetisch ein Genuss. Das Abendessen im Gourmetrestaurant war ein Geschmackserlebnis, die Krönung waren die Desserts! Kreativität und viel Liebe zum Handwerk, man hat sich wirklich Mühe gegeben, auch die Qualität der Zutaten war bemerkenswert.Das Frühstück war die Fortsetzung, keine Wunsche blieben offen. Nachdem ein besseres Zimmer, als das gebuchte verfügbar war, hat man uns von sich aus upgegraded. Und das war großartig: Privatpool und zweistufige Terrasse mit atemberaubenden Ausblick! Fazit:Aussergewöhnlich schöner Aufenthalt auch für Verwöhnte.

His Opinion: Wir haben einen einzigartigen Aufenthalt im Cap Rocat erlebt.
Einzig beim Eintreffen/ Einchecken haben uns die schmuddeligen schmutzigen Aussen Tische, an denen wir hingebeten wurden einen ersten unerwarteten Eindruck vermittelt Wir waren von der mit Restkrümel und Resten von Vorgängern übersähten plus äusserst staubigen (Tage alter Staub) Tischplatte, auf denen uns ein Welcome drink serviert wurde, doch sehr überrascht. Niemand putzte es weg! Es war nicht nur unsere Tischplatte.
Im restlichen Hotel, Restaurant und Zimmern war davon keine Rede! Alles blitzsauber!
Extra nennenswert ist hingegen die enorme Freundlichkeit, die Effizienz und Aufmerksamkeit in der Restauration wie auch in der Wellness, der Angestellten und bei den Fahrern, sowie insbesondere von Herrn Jon an der Reception!
Ganz besonders danken wir dem Laundry Team, welches Tage nach unserer Abreise -auf unser Bitten hin- in den längst abgeholten Bademanteltaschen, ein vermisstes und vergessenes Minikettche suchten und wirklich auffinden konnten, welches nun auf dem Weg zu uns ist!
Wir haben uns wunderbar erholt und kommen gerne wieder.

His Opinion: Lovely hotel, with great service. Everyone on the staff made sure we were delighted. I loved the view at sea club and at the pool...we wished our room had a bit more light and a view and didn't realize it would not really even have any windows. Food at Sea Club was great, and so was the bartender in the main bar. We thought the tasting menu at the Pavilion was a bit expensive and didn't realize it was a tasting menu only until we were there. That said, we still really enjoyed our time at this hotel.

His Opinion: We enjoyed our stay with you. We didn't even have the inclination to leave during our stay...everything was provided. The service was excellent and the staff was so kind and courteous;. Our only disappointment was the placement of our suite. We were directly across from a staff service center which was noisy and our patio was not private. Also we did not have a nice view from the sunbed, but we did see locations which had lovely views. We did not know what to request as the site where we made our reservations didn't really give any alternatives but what we had. Perhaps we can have a nicer suite when we come back. Thanks to you all,

His Opinion: Our whole experience was absolutely phenomenal !! From the minute we pulled up to the gates opening the whole stay was beyond expectations!!
Tony from the bar area was the one member of staff who exceeded above & beyond our expectations!! So knowledgeable about Champagne as thats what i drink & even had a table set up in front of the fire for my husband & i with his favourite beer on ice as we arrived!!
We can not wait to come back and visit again soon superb experience thank you

His Opinion: Un séjour trop court dans un endroit hors du commun : le talent de cet architecte Antonio Obrador de transformer cet endroit historiquement militaire et donc austère en un lieu dedié au bien-être dans tous les sens du terme est une prouesse! Ajoutons à cela le service attentionné et la qualité de la table, tout cela fait un cocktail remarquable qui donne bien entendu envie de renouveler l'expérience dès que possible !
