Castello Chiola dates back to 864 A.D. and rises majestically on the top of a hill above the ancient village of Loreto Aprutino, a site the Romans chose as the seat of the god who loved to surround himself with laurel: Apollo, the god of light and beauty. The ancient castle, once a guard tower of the Longobardi and advance outpost of Federico II’s empire, became the residence of noble families as early as the 13th century and remained so, passing from the families of D’Aquino, Gamba, Casamarte, D’Avalos and since 1870 until today, to the Chiola family.
The rooms, all spacious and with high ceilings, have every comfort and facility and offer charming views over the countryside below as far as the sea and the mountains of Gran Sasso d’Italia. The manor also has 3 meeting rooms, halls for parties, a restaurant, bar, swimming pool and, adjacent to the castle, a Pottery Museum and an Oil Museum.

His Opinion: We enjoyed ourselves while at the hotel. This was our first trip from the USA to visit family in Loreto Aprutino and the hotel was a great location. We would have enjoyed additional food service on the terrace.

His Opinion: Le camere non sono molto nuove , internet al piano terzo (o almeno nella nostra camera) non prendeva.
Le prese in camera non si capiva come funzionavano e la notte eravamo costretti ad usare quella in bagno e all'ingresso, le uniche funzionanti sempre.
Al check out ci hanno chiesto 32 euro in più a notte per il letto aggiuntivo per nostro figlio di tre anni , quando nessuno ci aveva avvisato del costo in più e noi avevamo chiesto un lettino più piccolo.
Il ragazzo alla Reception alla fine è stato gentile e ci ha tolto le 32 euro a notte.
La piscina in compenso è piccola ma molto carina.
Il ristorante una piacevolissima sorpresa per chi cerca piatti raffinati, ben accostati e presentati. Il cameriere (credo caposala) davvero gentile.

His Opinion: Colazione scarsa - bagno cieco con areazione insufficiente - set di cortesia scarso: ho dovuto richiedere cuffia e mancavano pantofole ( junior suite con moquette) - esterni trascurati e il parcheggio dovrebbe essere gestito dal momento che le aree di manovra sono limitate.
Gli ambienti sono molto romantici e curati ma sono mancate le cure e le attenzioni richieste per un soggiorno da 4 stelle.
Con un miglior servizio il nostro giudizio sarebbe stato molto buono.

The staff were extremely friendly and very helpfull I would not hestitate to recommedn your hotel to my friends and business associates. my only negative is wifi does not work in your rooms.

His Opinion: The night we stayed in the hotel there was a wedding which took over the whole hotel we didn't want to invade a privat function but we had no where to go except our room a bar or area should be kept for guests which are nothing to do with the function we couldn't even get a coffee, all staff were attending the function. we had to go into the town for our meal. Will not recomend to anybody. Rooms excellant
