Castel Brando, an imposing building overlooking the ancient hamlet of Cison di Valmarino, occupies an area which, since the prehistoric eras of the Paleo-Venetian populations, has been the site of various settlements.
Initially conceived as a defensive fortress, over the centuries the building has been the object of enlargement and renovations which include the 13th century Guelph/Ghibelline embattlements and precise lines of the classic 18th century style. The architectonic origins of the building’s exterior do not distract from the most modern comforts and technology of its interior.
The 18th century castle hosts the refined “Sansovino” restaurant where delicious specialities can be enjoyed in an elegant and sought-after environment, surrounded by antique plaster-work and fine furnishings while being served by attentive and qualified staff.
It is ideal for a romantic supper, for business dinners or for private banquets. Among other facilities at Castel Brando is another restaurant, “La Carte”, and eight bars located in various areas of the castle.
Castel Brando is also an interesting cultural centre which hosts three museums in its interior. Completing the range of amenities is the modern Beauty Centre dedicated to your relaxation and well-being.

His Opinion: Una magnifica esperienza in un posto da favola. La gentilezza di tutto lo staff ci ha accompagnati per tutto il soggiorno. Eccellente anche la cucina che propone sia piatti tipici che piatti di pesce. La Spa è stata la coccola finale..

His Opinion: Io e mia moglie abbiamo fatto un weekend romantico e devo dire che abbiamo scelto bene. Luogo da favola, tenuto benissimo, camera standard piccola ma accogliente.
La SPA (per quanto io non sia un fan) è stata decisamente rilassante, molto bella anche la location.
Avevamo incluso anche cena colazione e pranzo e abbiamo decisamente mangiato bene.
Quindi nel complesso weekend da favola.

Avendo provato entrambi i ristoranti, il Sansonivo è di qualità molto superiore alla Fucina. I piatti sono molto curati e ottimi oltre alla location suggestiva. His Opinion: Die Burg und das Ambiente ist einmalig schön und beeindruckend. Das Personal ist freundlich und zurückhaltend, beim Frühstück etwas nachlässig, wir fühlten uns allein gelassen. Wir waren Anfang September für 3 Nächte dort und es gab nur wenige Hotelgäste, was sich eben auch im Service negativ ausgewirkt hat.
Der SPA Bereich ist schön und sauber, der Pool ist eher eine schmale Schwimmbahn. Man muss wissen, das die Lage abgeschieden ist und die Ortschaften ziemlich verschlafen. Als Kombination mit einem Ausflug nach Venedig (1 Std.Fahrt) durchaus empfehlenswert.
