The historical residence of the Relais San Biagio is placed in the heart of Umbria, in the natural park of Monte Subasio near to the well-known town of Nocera Umbra, the Italian capital of water at just a few kilometers from Assisi.
Today San Biagio has become a luxurious and welcoming place to accommodate guests, immersed in the quiet Umbrian hills. From its convenient and prominent location, in the heart of a 30 acre estate of meadows, fields and woods, it offers panoramic views of Assisi (18 km), Gubbio (20 km), Gualdo Tadino (10 miles) and the entire surrounding valley. The ancient history of this monastery and the passion of those who dedicated themselves to its revival have created a special place, where harmony and beauty come together in a magical natural setting.
Nestled in an area rich with historical, artistic and natural features it is the ideal base for exploring the local area. It is very close and within easy reach of towns such as Assisi, Gubbio, Spello, Perugia, Spoleto, and other natural and historical gems. A restaurant with a splendid view over the valley and the surrounding nature, offers the opportunity to enjoy healthy and natural cuisine, made from organic ingredients, produced on the grounds of the monastery. The meat comes from our free-range farms within the resort. Inspired by the centuries-old tradition of monastic brewing, the artisan brewery allows guests to make a trip back in time to discover the forgotten tastes of this ancient beverage.
Relais San Biagio offers the opportunity to stay in double rooms on the three floors of the monastery. Other rooms are available in the Manor house just a few meters from the Monastery. The simple and elegant interiors, enhance the strength and sobriety of the architecture, creating an environment of silence and peace.
A sought after location, full of history, whose features have inspired the creation of the first Phytocosmetic Laboratory in Italy with on-site spa.
Through the succession of the various rooms, the experience of the hammam brings to mind feelings of well being, in a deep journey of relaxation, meditation and listening to one's own body.
