“Ashford Castle” is nothing if not truly regal - a majestic Castle with bridge and fairytale towers, set on the shores of the Lough Corrib. It once belonged to the Guinness family, dating back to the 13th century - a true, classic Castle for all time.
Nothing is left to the imagination, as you enter Ashford Castle’s great hall, you are greeted by pure opulence, rich wood panelling, exquisite period pieces, oeuvres d’art and original masterpiece paintings, attesting to the Castle’s glorious history-laden past.
The guestrooms are no exception. Designed and elaborated in great detail – like the castle -, many of the rooms retain their original grandeur with individually stylized fabrics and furnishings and with great attention to detail, such as marble fittings, fresh flowers, sumptuous canopy beds - all the creature comforts imaginable.

His Opinion: La única observación sobre mejoras posibles, sería la renovación de cristales en ventanas, por otros con doble cristal para aislamiento, ya que en algunas estancias como pasillos y habitaciones, entra bastante frio debido al escaso o nulo aislamiento, lo que además influye en un excesivo gasto en calefacción.
