Known as one of “The Best Towns in Italy”, Compiano has a privileged position, stretching along the ridge of a hill which dominates the course of the River Taro and the Apennines passes connecting Emilia, Toscana and Liguria.
Compiano Castle, one of the most spectacular in northern Italy, and the little town, form a entire settlement surrounded by walls with three entrances.
The exact date of its construction is unknown but it is thought to have existed before the year 1000 because the north tower can be dated to the Carolingian period.

His Opinion: L'unica criticità l'abbiamo riscontrata nella camera, con un ambiente pulito, ma dove il prezzo non ci è sembrato giustificato dal suo arredamento (prezzo che abbiamo pensato forse dovuto alle spese di manutenzione del castello). Per il resto ci siamo trovati molto bene, il personale è stato sempre cordiale e presente e ci siamo trovati ottimamente anche al ristorante dove, tra l'altro, abbiamo gustato per la prima volta il panigaccio. Complessivamente è stata una bella esperienza, anche per merito del paesaggio e i dintorni che abbiamo visitato.

L'esperienza è stata sicuramente positiva, personale cortese e disponibile e location assolutamente deliziosa.
Molto interessante anche la visita guidata all'interno del castello (piccolo suggerimento...sarebbe carino se la visita fosse gratuita per gli ospiti del castello che pernottano in stanza!).
Ne vale la pena!

Ho apprezzato più il piano delle stanze che la parte del museo della marchesa, ma questa è una mia opinione personale.

La panigacceria-braceria è anche molto caratteristica e il personale è molto disponibile e simpatico. Siamo stati davvero bene

Parco con piscina stupendo per un rilassarsi in un posto da film. Colazione a buffet buona. Camere nella media. Ristorante affiliato al castello davvero ottimo. Borgo piccolo ma interessante. Merita sicuramente una visita.

His Opinion: riguardo il comfort della camera,sarebbe potuto essere meglio se la tv fosse stata posizionata in camera da letto e non nell'ingresso.
La pulizia era ottima e i doppi servizi sicuramente apprezzabili.
