Situated in Normandy, the luxury hotel "Chateau de Canisy" is located in a large estate with over 300 acres of parks, green meadows, little lakes and picturesque woods, at 8 km from Saint-Lô and at just 35 minutes drive from the coast. The Dior property and the famous Bayeux Tapestry are located at only 45 km distance.
The castle dates from 1066 and is today still run by Earl and Countess of Kergorlay who offer their guests a really unforgettable stay worthy of kings and queens. Each room of the castle is indeed decorated in a different way, reflecting the various periods of the French history. One among the famous guests of the property has for example been Guy de Polignac Bailli. The rooms feature very beautiful pieces of furniture, living rooms, bathrooms with tubs and enchanting views over the gardens.
Guests can benefit from plenty of activities at the Chateau de Canisy: from walks through the property woods, horse riding, archery or romantic hot air balloon rides.
Inside the castle it is still possible today to admire the heirlooms of the noble family or the medieval cellars, while during the evenings guests can enjoy a traditional French gourmet 4-course dinner accompanied by excellent French wines.
