The "Grand Hotel Angiolieri", a new five-star hotel which lies on the sea of the beautiful Amalfi Coast, is an oasis of peace, prosperity and serenity that dominates the entire bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, surrounded by greenery and the quietness of the nearby village Vico Equense, just a short distance from Pompeii, Positano, Amalfi and very close to the beautiful islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida.
The philosophy of this exclusive hotel is luxury, charm and savoir-vivre - with the spirit of a private home and a keen sense of hospitality that welcomes you like family friends. Enjoy a relaxing stay, including massages and walks through the enchanting gardens full of orange groves and palm trees, discover breathtaking views over the deep blue sea and the scents of the Mediterranean atmosphere.
The Roman pergola colonnade, a perfect setting for aperitifs, wine tasting, and concerts, as well as the hotel's swimming-pool, are really breathtaking. Thanks to its special glass wall which creates a unique visual effect, the pool gives the incredible sensation of swimming in the sea.
Created from the restoration of an ancient Roman villa dating from around 100 BC which was used as a convent by the Order of Poor Clares, the property became a noble residence in 1600 and later, at the end of 1800, one of the first hotels in the Sorrento peninsula. The entire area is known worldwide thanks to some scenes of the popular movie "Bread, Love and. .. " with Vittorio de Sica and Sophia Loren.
Since then, the hotel has been carefully renovated and it reopened in 2005, housing warmly decorated rooms for an international luxury tourist-class, all disposing of Jacuzzi and handmade pottery from Vietri.
The Restaurant "L'Accanto" is a must for gourmet lovers. It disposes of a large panoramic terrace with direct view on the Mount Vesuvius, where guests can taste typical local meals accompanied by a fine selection of wines. Our clients will be able to enjoy romantic candlelight dinners, surrounded by the magic lights which get romantically reflected in the beautiful Gulf.
