Maison Bérard Hôtel - Restaurant - Spa
8.1/10 on 445 reviews
“Hostellerie Bérard” is an original cluster of authentic dwellings, including the ‘Bastide des Saveurs’ or fortified ‘Villa of Flavours’, the ‘Pavillon des Peintres’ or ‘Artists Pavilion’, ‘Les Remparts’ or ‘The Ramparts’ and the impressive 11th century ‘Couvent’ or ancient ‘Monastery’.
The village belongs to the picture postcard town of La Cadière d’Azur, just a leisurely drive from either Marseilles or Nice and the singular Côte d’Azur or French Riviera, pearl of the Mediterranean coastline.
This impressive collection of architectural gems, each with its own characteristic style and heritage, is perched high atop the small town, immersed in the verdant unspoilt countryside amid vines and olive trees - the romantic Provencal landscape with the scented breezes of thyme and rosemary.
Likewise guestrooms reflect this ambience, with their own individual charm and personality, furnished in typical Southern style with fine fabrics, striking colours and soothing hues of deep Mediterranean blue.
Comfortable and inviting, the rooms provide all the quiet country flavours with the most modern amenities to make your stay as restful and enchanting as possible.
The exceptional Spa facilities offer the ultimate in relaxation and well-being, harmonizing body and soul in a remarkable display of luxuriant, refined surroundings.

His Opinion: My only complaint would be about the noise level. My room was situated on the main street and I was woken by noise early each morning.
However, having said that, being right on the main street was also very convenient, there was no need to use my car during the stay.
The spa facilities were excellent and the staff exceptionally nice.
