Crossing the drawbridge over the moat, you will walk into one of the most important examples of medieval architecture, the Hotel della Fortezza, located inside the ancient fortress Orsini di Sorano dating from the 11th century.
The rooms of the hotel are very exclusive and represent a beautiful contrast to the ancient structure of the building. All rooms are furnished with original antique furniture, terracotta floors and beamed ceilings, some offer a view of the green Etruscan valleys while others overlook the village of Soriano, unique environments where you can still feel the history of the past.
From this fascinating property guests can start a breathtaking journey through the most important historic and archaeological sites of the Etruscan civilization in the surroundings.

His Opinion: Pousada extremamente simpática, quarto muito confortável, com pessoal muito gentil e solícito, em uma localização privilegiada, com uma linda vista da cidade de Sorano. Café da manhã delicioso, o melhor que encontramos em nossa viagem de vinte dias, incluindo alguns hotéis quatro estrelas. O acesso é um pouquinho complicado, por estar dentro de um castelo/fortaleza. Mas isso faz parte do charme do local. É facílimo achar vaga no estacionamento público/gratuito perto da entrada da fortaleza, embora um pouco distante da entrada da pousada propriamente.
