Situated in the heart of Marina di Ragusa, just few steps from the central place and from the sea, “La Moresca” opens its door to all those who wish to discover the authentic soul of Sicily. The “Maison de Charme” from 1926 is an excellent example of liberty style and it has been accurately restored, becoming a wonderful and harmonious patchwork of old and modern style, that remains true to the original structure, history and culture of the island.
Traditional furniture has been combined with modern design like elements from Eames, Artemide, Zanotta…, together with specifically created furniture and the modern bar in its green surrounding.
The common guideline to the 15 rooms, each individually designed with typically Sicilian charm and poetry, is authenticity. The original furniture, the brightness of the white atmosphere, the lightness of the curtains, the paintings and the photographs by two local artists who catch the jewels of Sicily in their works, make the rooms warm, welcoming and exclusive, according to the philosophy of “La Moresca”.
The unique and familiar atmosphere invites its guests to discover the heart of the Sicilian baroque art, the magnificent landscapes and the extraordinary cuisine of the little local restaurants that surround this special tourist location.
There are plenty of cultural, natural and gastronomic itineraries to be followed in the Ragusa province, as its fascinating past is still present through the archaeological sites from the Greec, Roman and Byzantine era. Guest will also have the opportunity to admire the local parcs, the natural reserves and the typical little towns among the hills and the stone walls, as well as the wonderful blue sea with the infinite sandy beaches - more than 90 kilometres of marvellous coast, considered to be one of Italy's most beautiful.
