The Renaissance Castle of Amboise – with great Sound and Light Show in July and August - is only 2 minutes walk away, as well as the Clos Lucé, the final residence of Leonard de Vinci. Château de Chenonceau, a truly fabulous castle casting its reflection onto the Cher River, and Château de Chaumont with its annual garden festival are both within easy reach (12 miles).
In the beautiful, airy gourmet restaurant, housed in the Duke’s Home, you will delight in discovering the sophisticated, welcoming atmosphere suitable to its name. The large fireplace gives the room a certain grandeur, the magnificent view over the Loire being its key asset – combined with the creative cuisine at the Choiseul, drawing its inspiration from the tradition of the Loire Valley and its outstanding produce.
The Bistrot 36 is the meeting place for the "new gourmets" who enjoy tasting delicious cuisine with touches of the unusual in a setting bathed in light with a view over the splendid Italian style gardens.
The freshly coloured decor and the delicate cane armchairs create the pleasant atmosphere of a pergola and from the first days of summer, you can enjoy your meals outside on the terrace whilst admiring the sculptures on display.
Visit the stunning Caesar's Granaries, a troglodyte cave, opt for a cruise on the Loire in a traditional "gabare" boat or even for a hot air balloon flight over the valley.
