“L’Ultimo Mulino” Relais Hotel has been created out of an ancient 17th century watermill, thanks to passionate and accurate renovation of the original structure. Among the centuries-old stonework and old furnaces, you will discover the fascination of this extraordinary ancient and luxurious inn.
The Balestrieri family welcome guests to this intact wonder in the heart of Friuli, near to Pordenone.
The enchanting residence reflects the grace and exclusive style of a charming hotel, where guests can enjoy every modern comfort and are welcomed to a quiet and refined atmosphere of past times. Nothing has been taken away from the history it has left.
Thanks to careful renovation, under the eyes of the Department for National Historic, Artistic and Architectonic Heritage, the building still preserves its specific characteristics today, such as the ancient millstones and, perfectly preserved, the three great wheels of the ancient mill still go round with the water rushing away quickly.
Being transformed in this way, this magnificent example of rural architecture has also kept intact its soul. From all the windows of the bedrooms, you look out over the green vegetation, flowers and waterways.
And upon waking up, you have the morning fragrance, chirruping of the birds and the gurgling of streams – a plentiful breakfast is served on the light verandah whilst enjoying the new day…
The L’Ultimo Mulino restaurant also gives you the opportunity of living in an atmosphere of past times. Refined simplicity and attentive service are the setting for culinary delicacies created with passion and fantasy.

His Opinion: Es ist ein entzückendes Hotel, sehr ruhig und schön. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gut, was an der feinen Art der Hotelführung liegt. Ich war dort sehr zufrieden.

Personal sehr freundlich und familiär. Frühstück such prima. Leider war das Restaurant geschlossen. Aber so haben wir noch einen Grund mal wieder zu kommen!

Un posto magico, davvero un'atmosfera accogliente, ottimo da tutti i punti di vista, peccato non aver potuto provare il ristorante in quanto era il giorno di chiusura, sarà per la prossima volta!

His Opinion: We were both in need of a relaxing break and we found this relais perfectly satisfying. The family who own and run the hotel couldn't have been better hosts: always willing to help but never invasive. Our lunch on the terrace was excellent, both the food and the service.
