Solitary and fascinating, and perched on Capo Bellavista, Hotel Relais Monteturri receives guests with an aristocratic air to an ancient country residence.
Surrounded by a luxuriant green garden, the small hotel is in one of the most suggestive corners on the eastern coast of Sardinia, a few minutes from Abratax port and Tortol’ airport.
The Relais combines the fascination of a castle with the typical style of old Sardinian towns to create the refined and warm family environment of a private residence. As in a town, there are alleyways, tiny streets, passages and courtyards which often, suddenly give glimpses of the sea in a countryside of absolute silence.
In the central building is the hall, bar with occasional piano bar evenings, a lovely swimming pool with solarium and sauna terrace annex, the comfortable and intimate bedrooms and a refined restaurant whose terrace has a breathtaking view from the red rock of Cala Moresca to the rocky Capo Monte Santo, overlooking the sea. A picturesque set of steps, immersed in the green vegetation and going down to the sea, leads to the delightful stone houses a few metres down in the hotel garden.
Amongst the rocks, in a small inlet with deep sea bottom, there is an equipped wooden solarium for the exclusive use of hotel guests and reached by a panoramic elevator.
Not to be missed are the unforgettable excursions to Supramonte di Baunei, with the green train in the National Park of Gennargentu or by boat to the famous inlets of Capo Monte Santo, Cala Mariolu and Cala Luna.

His Opinion: Hotel location is fantastic, atmosphere excellent, staff is very kind en charming. hotel just opened and you could notice that staff was working very hard to improve details.
Point of improvement, quality of food (breakfast a little disapointing and dinner quality poor), hardly no place to relax, no sunbeds in open air near the pool or in the bay yet) But we're sure with current management during this season Mote Turri will be even a more excellent spot to enjoy the Sardinian holiday!

His Opinion: Our Monte Turri holiday was relaxing and good value - the reception and support from the manager and staff was first class. I found a real gem there!
The facilities available were very good - although the web site could have been a lot clearer about what was where. We enjoyed the views from the hotel and the pool and went every day to the beach platform, where the sea was warm and clean.
The rooms were beautifully clean and serviced twice a day.
I would thoroughly recommend it for a couple wanting peace and quiet and relaxation.

His Opinion: Es war ein rundherum luxuriöser Urlaub. Das Hotel - nicht nur für Individualisten und Liebhaber von Natur und Erhalt historischer Substanz - bietet alles an Komfort, was ich mir als Urlauber wünsche. Das Unterhaltungsangebot genau richtig dosiert und vor allem individuell vereinbar und buchbar. Im Monte Turri wird den Gästen nahezu der Wunsch aus den Augen abgelesen. Der Service ist unschlagbar. Hiermit meine ich nicht die Gastbetreuung rund um Rezeption und Gastronomie sondern die liebevolle, nicht aufdringliche Fürsorge des Personals schlecht hin. Dieses Hotel verdient locker 5 Sterne. Ich danke Veronica und Ihrem Team für diese traumhaften 14 Tage.

His Opinion: We booked the hotel for 5nights (b&b). When we arrived we've got a room 626 in the garden. This room was really horrible. The airco was dripping on our faces/matrasses. The bed we not good. It was just a iron frame with bad matrasses. The room was unpractical and dark. And this is not the fault of the hotel/staff but there was a big insect crawling around in the (really small) bathroom (1000-leg). We payed over 200euro/night (bed and breakfast) to get a room like this... We never had this on any of our trips and we go 3 times a year on vacation.
When we complained, the staf and management were really friendly. They really wanted to help and the manager gave us a room for 3nights in the main hotel (room18). This room was good, the bed was better, it smelled better and the bathroom was more practical.
The last night we had to change to another room in the garden (R622). This was bigger/lighter but it was still one of the most unpractical bad rooms I have ever been.
I had the feeling that we payed for accommodation (big beautiful park with well cared animals, nice pools, nice sea with chairs, handy chipcards, wifi) then we did for the room. But this was not the impression that we got from the website and the ***** and this was not the meaning of our vacation. When we go on vacation we expect nice accommodation but ALSO good rooms.
The rooms need to be cheaper or they need a big renovation (better airco, better and more practical closed and tables, BETTER beds, different/more practical doors in bathroom). We've been to accommodations with no stars and the rooms were better.
Staff was REALLY friendly and helpful (nice reception staff, sweet bartender, bagage guys are friendly, management is empathic, animation is funny, VERY sweet cleaning ladies), there are beautiful animals and the nice dog Bella at the reception stole my hart. But the rooms are to bad and expensive to come back and don't deserve the four stars.

we stayed 3 nights, our kids in a normal room, the parents in a tower room. the airco in the tower room functioned very poorly (and smelly) one night it even stopped working between 1am and 8am.
arbatax bay and the park are really beautiful, but we do not like the resort-style entertainment (and the noise) at the big pool, we find this a strange combination with the quiet and luxury style of the hotel.
the view from the restaurant is fantastic, staff and food were very good.

His Opinion: Super personnel, très bon accueil. Maitre d'hôtel, réceptionniste et cuisiniers très compétents et très serviables. Petit déjeuner pas assez varié. Déco de la chambre vieillote, baignoire balnéo peu moderne. Activités, animations, restauration au top.

It's too old, it needs to be fresh up. negative points: plastic glass in the bathroom, the conditioning air is not working, many things which doesn't work. then the restaurant, only buffet which is not our cup of tea. The breakfast is not exceptionnal. we excpected much more from a 4 stars hotel.

His Opinion: Der Aufenthalt war ok! Service und Mitarveiter sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr gut. 4 Sterne hat das Hotel aber auf keinen Fall verdient- Zimmer (Innenhofzimmer) zwar sauber, aber modriger Geruch- überall Ameisen. Klospülung und Licht in der Dusche im 2. Badezimmer defekt. Pool nicht sehr einladend, da Überdachung schmutzig und irgendwie zusammengehalten wird. Cremefärbige Auflagen von den Relaxliegen schmutzig. Ausblich von der Frühstücksterasse ein Traum! Wir würden aber nicht nocheinmal um den Preis dieses Hotel wählen.

His Opinion: Très beau cadre et très belle situation. Contexte général très bien mais la qualification et l'organisation du personnel étaient très nettement sous la moyenne, surtout le service du restaurant. Parfois plus d'1/2 Hr d'attente au petit déjeuner pour avoir une tasse de café. On avait l'impression que les serveurs couraient toujours les mains vides et donc longs délais pour avoir une table nettoyée ou une tasse de café. De nombreux clients faisaient eux-mêmes le service. Notre impression rejoint celles d'autres clients se trouvant près de nous aux différents services. Par contre, hôtel très propre et bien entretenu.

His Opinion: Excellent to be in a natural environment and kind receptionist (she could speak perfectly Portuguese with a Brazilian accent, make my husband really happy - he is Brazilian - ). Tatiana, the trainee was really nice and funny, a 10 for her :) and of course for the hotel, just our room didn't look like in the pictures, so it was a little bit disappointed, but not so bad to complaint.

His Opinion: La courtoisie était bonne. Par contre le personnel trop réduit à la réception ainsi qu'un accueil aux dimensions vraiment trop exigu indigne d'un hotel de cette catégorie.
Prendre le petit déjeuné sur la terrase est un réel plaisir. La situation est exceptionnelle.
Un grand point négatif est le manque d'insonorisation des chambre qui nous ont fait passer des nuits très courtes car chaques mouvements des voisins ou des passants étaient amplifiés. Heureusement que le séjour n'a durée que 3 jours !!!

His Opinion: Transfer trotz Zusage nicht erfolgt. Das Hotel war über Ankuftszeit und -Ort informiert.
Keinerlei Informationen über Hoteleinrichtungen für den Gast verfügbar (auf den Spa-Bereich wurde erst am vorletzten Tag hingewiesen). Essen meist lauwarm. "Turmzimmer" liegt im Untergeschoß des Turmes!!!!
