The Parador de Baiona, walled fortress surrounded by the sea, in the Monterreal peninsula only 20 km away from Vigo and 50 km from Pontevedra.
A breathtaking viewpoint of the Ocean, it is one of the most exclusive hotels, halfway between a medieval fortress and noble Galician architecture, surrounded by a wall and next to a beautiful pinewood.
The hotel has regal and elegant rooms filled with decorative details of other periods. Noble and spacious rooms, many of which have wonderful view of the sea, are really attractive like the majestic stone stairway in the hall.
The suite “El Mirador de la Virgen de la Roca” has more than 90 sqm, canopy beds, private hall and hot-tub. Its five windows that face west have a beautiful view of the mountain, the monument of the Madonna of the Rocks, close to the Silleiro del Capo, in high tide and the growing presence of the Cies Islands. The sunsets are truly unique with their play of lights while the sun slowly dipping into the sea leaving behind it an explosion of colours.
The luxurious “Torre del Conde” instead is a room that offers a spectacular view thanks to the wonderful circular balcony that faces the bay. And attracted all kinds of people, from Kings, Princes, Presidents, Nobel Laureates and internationally renowned artists.

His Opinion: began our Camino Portugues de la Costa from Baiona and stayed at the Parador. we celebrated a friend's 50th birthday there. Beautiful views of the ocean, sunsets and starry nights and a great bed to sleep the night. Couldnt have found a better place to begin our pilgrimage to Santiago de compostela.
