In a medieval castle of the 15th century, the Parador de Jarandilla de la Vera is located in the northern province of Cáceres.
In the Centre of the orchard of La Vera and Tiétar between gorges, natural pools, chestnut trees and oak woods and natural landscapes of rare beauty, an environment rich in historical and monumental heritage, this Palace was home of an illustrious guest: the Emperor Charles V.
The outside area of the hotel includes towers, the courtyard and the swimming pool, surrounded by palm trees and olive and orange trees. Inside there is a climate of peace and privacy.

The restaurant offers Estremadura crumble, potatoerevolconas, tomato soup, piglet, goat stew, cod fish with muslin and homemade desserts. These are some of the dishes of a wide variety of dishes of the Extremadura cuisine.

Ideal for social occasions or business meetings, the Parador also has different sized meeting rooms, all furnished with taste.
In the surrounding areas there's the Roman bridge, The Jerte, El Raso and the beautiful city of Plasencia (everything only 40-50 km away) For sports lovers: hiking, mountain biking, tennis, horseback riding and canoeing.
