Tenuta di Fessina is located in Rovittello, a few steps from Castiglione di Sicilia and offers hospitality in a 17th century millstone hidden among old vineyards on the slopes of Etna.
Completely restored, it offers 7 rooms, distributed in the various part of the property, that once marked the rhythm of the work and the use of space. All different from one another, but united by the same spirit: make the atmosphere feel of past memories, but giving a contemporary look.
In the living room of the house, on the mezzanine floor of the millstone, overlooking one of the terraces with vineyard view, every morning breakfast is served for their guests and where you can spend time to taste a tea, read a book or drink a good wine, while during the summer season you can take advantage of the terrace overlooking the vineyards and the Nebrodi Mountains.
Inside the wine tasting room, wine tastings are organized with two technical tables to accommodate up to 24 people comfortably seated.
The property does not have a bar or restaurant but offers its guests the possibility to organize lunches, dinners and tastings on request, selecting locally produced ingredients or with a range that enhances the small artisan, the producer near the house, to enhance the Sicilian flavors .
The international airport of Catania is only 1 hour by car, while Taormina 45 minutes and the volcano Etna 30 minutes.

Tina:
Yesterday: the vinification process inside the millstone was finished in this room containing the vats (“Tinaia”) where the fermented must was collected.
Today: a room overlooking the centuries-old alberelli of the vineyard, hidden between two lava flows that form a natural amphitheater.
Canedda:
Yesterday: the farmers deposited here the harvested grapes that were crushed by the women.
Today: an intimate room overlooking the courtyard with the fiery "Muntagna" behind it.

Istenna:
Yesterday: the "cistern" (water tank): a typical element of the Etna farmhouses, always in the heart of the vital spaces that housed the traditional chestnut barrels.
Today: a room in the pulsating heart of Fessina, a step away from our original cellar and vineyards, a place to breathe the full experience of Etna viticulture.
Litturina:
Yesterday: the historical train wagons that connected Riposto and Catania passing through the foothills villages carved between vineyards and raw lava rocks.
Today: the legendary train wagons still run a few meters from the Estate punctuating the day with their rhythm and becoming a discreet call and an unexpected surprise for the guest.

Yesterday: the "verdirame" was a mixture of water and copper used in the vineyards and made in the tank next to the well in the courtyard.
Today: a room immersed in the lava rock that breathes the intimate life of our courtyard.
