The modern rooms and suites which integrate antique elements, melt harmony, comfort, technology and taste, in order to guarantee an elegant and exclusive ambiance.
The Ashbee Bar offers its guests a warm, welcoming atmosphere and it represents the ideal place in which to benefit from relaxing moments, for example by tasting a tea in pure British style while enjoying the exclusive Sicilian surrounding.
The elegant Roof Garden with its spectacular view over the Ionian sea, the Calabria region and miles and miles of breathtaking coastlines, welcomes you for an aperitif with relaxing background music.
And after dinner, the hotel’s large Lounge Terrace will delight you with its evocative atmosphere.
Under the warm sun of Taormina you will enjoy the property’s solarium, snack bar and the panoramic swimming-pool in a green surrounding, where to read or simply relax.

His Opinion: I thought the hotel and the staff were excellent in all respects. My only suggestion would be for the bar to be open later than 10pm, as we would most likely have retired there for a nighcap after dinner

His Opinion: There needs to be some improvements on breakfast, most mornings it was a shambles. One poor waitress running around and no one really helping her. The other waitress was so forgetful and didn’t listen.
Also missing the small details. Towels were often left used on sunbeds and we had to move them ourselves and get our own.
I really don’t think they had enough staff for the amount of guest staying.
The property is beautiful and in a great location. Rooms were great too.

His Opinion: Unequivocally, The Ashbee is one of the great hotels in all of Italy. The location is magical. Although, it is extremely convenient to the main part of Taormina, It is secluded, private and exclusive with astoundingly beautiful views of hills and the sea. The service was impeccable. Every person was professional, polite and friendly. They were conversationalists when you wanted to talk but never intruded when you wanted privacy. They were always helpful and were there when you needed them. In particular, the concierge was most helpful to every need or question. During our five day stay, the concierge desk, (in particular - Francesco) was knowledgeable about local attractions and restaurants and was extraordinarily accommodating to our every need.
The Ashbee is the epitome of a luxury hotel. The hotel is appointed beautifully and provides the sense that you are in a private villa. The rooms are large and pleasing and the bathroom is modern and spotless. The hotel combines old world charm with all of the modern conveniences and appointments. In addition, the hotel has a fantastic restaurant providing further enjoyment to our stay. The dining experience was one of the two best experiences that we had in all of Sicily.

His Opinion: Our stay at Ashbee was absolutely fantastic.
The hotel and view of the ocean and city was very beautiful! The location is perfect, easy to walk to the main street...
Every staff member was very courteous, polite and friendly. Thanks to everyone who made our stay a great one! Francesco, Roberta, Anete, Luigi, Valerio, and many others! (Sorry if I forgot anyone, so many names to remember). Ask for restaurant tips, we went three times to the same restaurant Francesco pointed to us.
Breakfast was amazing, and Dinner at St. George was also very special.
We'll hopefully come back soon!
Best,
Carla & Felipe

His Opinion: As lovely as The Ashbee is we did have a few gripes. Our room was Number 37, a lovely deluxe room. However, it is next to the road and there is a bar at the back. We encountered a lot of noise until late into the night, which if we were staying longer we would have asked to move rooms. The biggest gripe was the drinks prices at the pool bar. 2 vodka and tonics was €32 which we both believed a bit too steep. Whilst we were not expecting it to be cheap, we both thought it too much. If it had been less we would have used the roof top and pool bar more. As it was we had our sundowner vodka and tonics on the balcony at The Metropole and enjoyed a bit of jazz and yummy snacks for a lot less.

His Opinion: We loved out time at The Ashbee. It is a very special boutique hotel. The rooms, public areas and pool are beautiful. Our junior suite provided lovely space. The location at the end of Corso Umberto saves you the long climbs involved in many Taormina Hotels. We strongly recommend this hotel.
